DURHAM, NC. Team Robertson, a multi-sport conglomerate, announced today the antipated addition to the team. The player, to be named later, is due in mid-September 2001. There had been rumors of difficulty in acquiring the new team member, threatening to curtail the bike training schedule of co-captain Andy Robertson, cycling specialist. Andy, obviously pleased with the announcement, reported, "At last! Now I can get my new bike!" A titanium frame is apparently on order from a Czech bike builder. Co-captain Beth Robertson, soccer player and fitness training specialist, was also pleased with the news, although she related some reservations about the timing of the new arrival. "We were hoping for the addition to occur this spring. It's going to be tough with the final preseason training through the hottest months of the summer. I guess nature is reminding me of what I did to my own mom," she stated, referring to her own late summer/early fall arrival to Team Clifton. "We should have learned from Cam (Cameron Robertson) that what you plan, and what really happens are two different things," said Andy Robertson. Cameron Robertson, the team's first draft pick, is excited at the prospect of a new teammate. He apparently doesn't have any preferences on the gender, but continues to talk about playing with a baby sister. There is talk of the franchise relocating to the West Coast sometime in the next 6-8 months, but this could be confirmed as of press time. Whereever Team Robertson may be located, co-team founders, Ed and Ann Clifton, have promised to be on-hand to assist the transition with the new player.
